Argentina's Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni met with Defense Minister Carlos Presti to discuss the modernization of the armed forces. The main goal of the negotiations was to enhance the army's status and strengthen national defense.
During the meeting, the acquisition of new armored vehicles for the ground forces and modern equipment for personnel was confirmed. Adorni characterized the dialogue as a 'great meeting' aimed at the country's development.
'We are working to restore the Armed Forces to their rightful place and the greatness of our Nation,' the official stated.
The parties also discussed the delivery of F-16 fighter jets, which will continue through 2026. These measures are being implemented as part of a strategy to enhance the state's defense capabilities. The talks took place against the backdrop of internal challenges in the operations of the Armed Forces Social Security (IOSFA), related to the possible decentralization of resources.
